Wat is Compressed Hours? | HR-woordenlijst | BambooHR
Working full-time hours over fewer, longer days rather than the standard working week.
Compressed hours let an employee complete their full contracted hours in fewer days — for example, a full week's hours across four longer days, giving an extra day off.
It is a popular flexible-working option that improves work-life balance without reducing pay or overall hours.
Employers should check that longer daily hours remain within working-time limits and that service cover is maintained across the week.
