The Centre for Family Medicine (CFM) is a community health organisation in Kitchener, Ontario, providing primary care services to a large patient population through a team of family physicians, nurse practitioners, social workers, and administrative staff. As an academic family health team, CFM also supports medical education and research, adding further complexity to its people management requirements. With staff spread across four practice locations and a range of employment arrangements, consistent HR administration was a persistent challenge.

Healthcare organisations face particularly stringent compliance requirements in relation to staff qualifications, credential verification, and continuing education. At CFM, managing this documentation had become increasingly burdensome as the organisation grew.
