1.Overview
This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") describes the rules governing your use of BambooHR's software, websites, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). This Policy is incorporated by reference into the BambooHR Customer Terms of Service. By accessing or using the Services, you agree to comply with this Policy.
BambooHR reserves the right to investigate and take appropriate action against anyone who violates this Policy, up to and including suspending or terminating access, and reporting to law enforcement authorities where appropriate.
2.Permitted Uses
You may use the Services for lawful business purposes in accordance with the terms of your subscription agreement and applicable law. Permitted uses include managing employee records, running HR workflows, processing payroll (where enabled), administering benefits, tracking time and attendance, conducting performance reviews, and generating workforce analytics.
You may permit your Authorized Users to access the Services for the purposes listed above, provided each Authorized User agrees to comply with all applicable terms and this Policy.
3.Prohibited Activities
You may not use the Services to: (a) store, transmit, or distribute any content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, abusive, fraudulent, obscene, or otherwise objectionable; (b) store or transmit infringing, libelous, or otherwise unlawful or tortious material; (c) store or transmit material in violation of third-party privacy or data protection rights; (d) interfere with or disrupt servers or networks connected to the Services; or (e) violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law.
You may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion or feature of the Services, or any other systems or networks connected to the Services. You may not conduct vulnerability or penetration testing of the Services without BambooHR's prior written authorisation. Any authorised testing must comply with BambooHR's security assessment guidelines.
4.Content Standards
Any content you or your Authorized Users upload, submit, or transmit through the Services must comply with all applicable laws and must not violate the rights of any person or entity. You are solely responsible for all content uploaded to the Services under your account.
You must not upload content that contains software viruses, worms, Trojan horses, or any other code designed to interrupt, destroy, or limit the functionality of any computer software, hardware, or telecommunications equipment. BambooHR reserves the right to remove content that violates this Policy.
5.Enforcement and Consequences
BambooHR reserves the right, but has no obligation, to monitor the Services for violations of this Policy. BambooHR may investigate any reported or suspected violation and take any action it deems appropriate, including removal of content, warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent termination of access.
If your violation of this Policy causes BambooHR to receive a complaint from a third party, governmental authority, or any other entity, you agree to indemnify BambooHR for all costs, expenses, and damages arising from that complaint, including reasonable legal fees.
6.Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any violation of this Policy, please report it promptly to BambooHR's Trust and Safety team via our contact page. Please include a description of the violation and all relevant details to help us investigate and respond effectively.
BambooHR will not retaliate against any person who reports violations of this Policy in good faith, even if the investigation finds no violation has occurred.
