BambooHR Launches New Performance Management Suite
BambooHR launched a new performance management suite to support reviews, goals and feedback. Grouper relayed this global product news to its European customers.
BambooHR launched a new performance management suite, designed to support performance reviews, goal-setting and ongoing feedback within its HR platform. Grouper, BambooHR's authorised partner for Ireland, the UK and Europe, relayed this global product news to its customers.
Bringing performance conversations, goals and feedback into the same system as core HR records is intended to make performance management a more continuous, less administrative process. Rather than treating reviews as an annual event bolted on with separate tools, the suite aims to keep feedback flowing throughout the year.
For employers in Ireland, the UK and the EU, performance management carries employment-law implications. Where performance concerns may lead to disciplinary action or dismissal, fair-procedures obligations apply. In Ireland, this is shaped by the Unfair Dismissals Acts and WRC guidance on fair process; in the UK, the Acas Code of Practice on disciplinary and grievance procedures sets expectations. This is a different legal landscape from the US concept of at-will employment, which is US-specific and does not apply here โ employers in our region cannot rely on it.
Performance records are also personal data, so GDPR applies to how reviews, ratings and feedback are stored, accessed and retained. European organisations should ensure their configuration reflects data-minimisation and transparency expectations.
Grouper's role is to help customers in our region set up performance management in a way that supports fair procedures and local employment law, and to be clear about which features are available to Irish, UK and EU accounts.
Employers reviewing how they manage performance can contact Grouper for guidance suited to Irish, UK and European requirements.
