BambooHR Time Tracking now supports geolocation clock-in, IP address restrictions, and photo verification for distributed and field-based teams.
What's new in Time Tracking
BambooHR Time Tracking has been significantly enhanced for organisations with mobile, field-based, or geographically distributed teams. New features include: geolocation clock-in (employees can only clock in when within a defined radius of a job site), IP address restrictions (clock-ins are only accepted from approved networks), and optional photo verification at clock-in and clock-out. All three verification methods are configurable per employee group, so office teams and field teams can operate on different rules.
Manager approvals and payroll integration
The updated Time Tracking module includes a redesigned manager approval workflow. Managers receive a daily summary of unapproved timesheets and can approve or query individual entries from their mobile. Approved hours flow automatically into BambooHR Payroll, removing the manual step of exporting and re-importing timesheets each pay period. Overtime calculations apply automatically based on the employment contract terms stored in the HRIS.
