BambooHR's new onboarding automation engine triggers tasks, sends documents, and assigns buddies the moment a new hire is confirmed.
What automated onboarding does
BambooHR Automated Onboarding allows HR teams to build multi-step onboarding workflows that trigger automatically when a new employee record is created. Each workflow can include: task assignments with due dates and owners (HR, IT, hiring manager, buddy), document requests (e.g. right-to-work documents, signed policies), e-signature requests (contract, handbook acknowledgement), and timed welcome messages from the CEO or HR team. Tasks appear in the relevant person's BambooHR to-do list and they receive email and mobile notifications when something is due.
Templates for every role type
BambooHR ships with eight ready-to-use onboarding workflow templates: office-based, hybrid, fully remote, field-based, temporary, apprentice, graduate, and executive. Each template can be customised and saved as your own. Role-specific variants can be created for recurring role types such as Sales Executive, Software Engineer, and Warehouse Operative, so the right tasks and documents are automatically assigned for each new hire without any manual configuration.
